Ceal C. Ehlenburg, 88, Woodstock, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at ManorCare Nursing Home, Elk Grove Village. She was born Sept. 20, 1928, to Herman and Ann (Sundrop) Koester n Piqua, Kan.   On May 10, 1963, she married Harold Ehlenburg in Woodstock. Ceal worked at the Woodstock Typewriter Factory for more than 25 years before they closed. She then worked at Guardian Electric.  She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She always enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially her nephew, Ron (Nancy) Porter. Sharon Lee (Armstrong) Witry, 75, Abita Springs, La., formerly of Wellington, Fla., died Saturday, April 29, in New Orleans, surrounded by family and friends.  Sharon was so strong and fought hard but lost her courageous battle with multiple myeloma.  Sharon was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Moline to Dale and Dorothy Armstrong, Reynolds.   On April 17, 1965, she married Joseph Witry in Milan. Sharon graduated from Parsons College with a physical education degree.  She taught physical education and second grade in the Chicago suburbs.  She left teaching to raise her family in Woodstock. Renee E. Radwan, 35, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Woodstock. She was born Aug. 30, 1981, in Chicago. Renee was a kind and free spirit. She was personable, resilient and engaging as a child. A happy soul, she was incredibly social and fun loving. An animal admirer, she had many pets. Renee was a natural caretaker of all creatures big and small. She found peace and solace with her animal companions. Renee enjoyed the outdoors and all it’s offerings. Canoeing with Ben, traveling, fishing and hiking were her favorite pastimes. Marvin E. Lang Jr., 80, Woodstock, died April 15, 2017. He was born July 3, 1936, to Marvin E. and Grace (Patterson) Lang, Medford, Wis.  On June 23, 1962, he married Dorothy Gilkerson. Marvin worked for ComEd for 39 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Woodstock. Scott Ray Thurnau, 58, Woodstock, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at JourneyCare Hospice-Woodstock. He was born Sept. 21, 1958, to Elroy Ray and Audrey Rae (Merchant) Thurnau.   On May 11, 1985, he married Sandra Kay Ohlrich at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock. Scott was born in Woodstock but grew up in Dundee. He was fascinated by genealogy and the history of Dundee, making many trips to the Dundee Historical Society. He was a collector of various artifacts and had a passion for nostalgic items.  He enjoyed music and played the guitar, piano, harmonica, and banjo. He also enjoyed watching old cartoons. Susan Jane (Daly) Grossman, 76, Woodstock, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Woodstock.  She was born Oct. 9, 1940, to James and Rita (Close) Daly in Evanston, and raised in Johnsburg. She was a 1958 graduate of McHenry High School. She worked for nearly 20 years at Science Research Associates in Chicago, served for 23 years on the Woodstock Rescue Squad and worked for five years at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock.  She was a lover of books and fine culture, but also a down-to-earth gal who loved sewing and country and western music. Dr. William B. Fischer, 95, Fontana, Wis.,  formerly of Woodstock, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, in Walworth, Wis. He was the beloved husband of the late Vicki C. Fischer and the late Eileen M. Fischer; loving father of three daughters, Peggy (Terence) Eiden, Mary Katherine (T. Chris) Roth and Pamela (Philip) Delaplane; grandfather of seven; great-grandfather of three; dear son of Frank L. and Elizabeth Fischer; loving brother of the late Frances and Lauretta; and uncle.  Dr. Fischer began work at age 10, helping his father with his business. John M. Warush, 92, Woodstock, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in Woodstock. He was born May 9, 1924, to Michael and Cecelia (Gondek) Warush in Latrobe, Penn. On Nov. 9, 1946, he married Florence B. Dubiel in Chicago. Mr. Warush served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the Addison VFW Post 7446 and a member of the Senior Polka Association. Esther Amelia Dubetz, 90, Hebron, died Sunday, March 26, 2017, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1926, to John and Mary (Jakubak) Mruczek in Chicago.  On Nov. 17, 1945, she married Anthony T. Dubetz in Chicago. She worked as a payroll clerk. She lived her life independently. She was loved and will be missed. Survivors include two children, Anthony Dubetz Jr. and Esther Dubetz; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Private services have been held. Michael A. Reed, 67, Douglas, Wyo., died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 1, 1949, to John O. and Jean (NIckels) Reed, in Woodstock.  On Nov. 15, 1991, he married Teresa Verley. Mike attended St. Mary Catholic School and was a 1967 graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School, where he had perfect attendance.   He attended DeVry University, Chicago, and then went into the U.S. Air Force and served for nine years, seven in England.  After returning from service, he started working for the Chicago & North Western Railroad and later as an engineer in Wyoming as the company became the Union Pacific.
