Genevieve H. Lucich

Genevieve H. Lucich, 87, Woodstock, died Wednesday June 7, 2017, at her home.

She was born Jan. 18, 1930, to Rudolph and Hilda (Olesen) Madsen in Woodstock.

On Dec. 1, 1951, she married Robert P. Lucich.

Genevieve was a longtime and active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Woodstock. She was active on the Altar Guild. She served as secretary of the women’s club at the church. She worked for many years at Elco Hillcrest lampshade factory in Woodstock and served as secretary of the workers union there. She was loved and cherished and will be missed.

Survivors include: her children, Ray (Elvyra) Lucich, Tom Lucich , Joe (Wendy) Lucich and Jennifer (Dave) Zoellick; seven grandchildren, Arek (Jori) Lucich, Melissa Lucich, Tabitha (Joe) Ehart, Russell (Julianna) Lucich, Joe (Lizzie) Lucich Jr., David Zoellick and Matisen Zoellick; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Madsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; seven siblings, Luella Grady, Robert Madsen, Delbert Madsen, Marilyn Madsen, Katherine Collins, Donald Madsen and Gerald Madsen; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Lucich.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1320 Dean St., Woodstock. Burial will be at McHenry County Memorial Park.
