Beverly P. Konczal Pruski Perez Redner Murphy Haydysch

Beverly P. Konczal Pruski Perez Redner Murphy Haydysch, 72, Hebron, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Inpatient Care Unit at Centegra Specialty Hospital, Woodstock. She was born March 21, 1940, in Chicago, to John and Martha (Sve) Konczal.   On Dec. 31, 2001, she married Barry Haydysch in Woodstock. She was a beloved wife, mother grandmother and sister.   Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Alan Pruski, Michael (Cindy) Pruski, Dale Pruski, Joseph (Cyndy) Perez, Anthony (Cari) Perez, Kenneth (Jenny) Redner and Shawn Redner; three daughters, Leeann (Jerry) Puckett, Felina Fink and Shirley Konczal; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Thomas (Pam) Konczal; and a sister, Sandra (Don) Cornacchia. She was preceded in death by her parents;

Mary L. Capone

Mary L. Capone, 67, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock.  She was born March 3, 1947, to A. Frank and Mary Katherine (Lee) Kelley. She was a dynamic person, vibrant and full of life. She dedicated the last years of her life to caring for her mother. Survivors include a son, Timothy W. Capone; her mother; and a brother, Frank A. Kelley Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip A. Capone Jr.; and her father. The funeral was held July 15 at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.

Eddie Glyn Hardgrave

Eddie “Ed” Glyn Hardgrave, 62, Wonder Lake, died Friday, July 6, 2012, at his home. He was born June 24, 1950,  in Bloomfield, Mo., to Girthal and Bobbie Hardgrave.  He was a hardworking man and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing and building models. He will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Barbara (Erickson); three daughters, Susan (Kenny) Erickson, Laura (John) Franks and Jamie (Chris Colby) Hardgrave; 10 grandchildren, Nicollette, Dominic, Brianna, Logan, Austin, Colton, Masion, Cade, Cassidy and Hunter; a great-granddaughter, Giovanna; and a brother, Harold. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation  and a memorial service were held July 14 at Davenport Family Funeral Home,

Edna L. Clark

Edna L. Clark, 87, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Woodstock. She was born July 29, 1924, in Woodstock, to Elmer and Alvina (Kiel) Broderman.  She graduated from Woodstock Community High School in 1942. On June 1, 1947, she married Gordon T. Clark in Woodstock and moved with him to the Clark dairy farm. She enjoyed knitting, learning about Kiel-Broderman-Clark geneology and spending time with her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock and worked as Executive Secretary for the church for more than 10 years in the 1970s and 80s.  She also worked as a secretary at First Methodist Church, Woodstock, for several years before retiring. Roger Lee Benson

Roger Lee Benson, 72, Woodstock, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at his home after an extended illness.  He was born Dec. 30, 1939, in his grandmother’s home in Huntley, to Gordon and Violet Benson. He grew up in Wonder Lake, graduated from McHenry High School in 1958, and received his undergraduate education in zoology and chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. He graduated from medical school at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1966. His medical residency in internal medicine at Cook County Hospital was interrupted by military service in the US Navy Medical Corps, where he served as a physician in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. Dolores M. Meyer

Dolores M. Meyer, 85, died Tuesday, July 3, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Woodstock. She was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Chicago, to William and Teresa Schlitt. She grew up in McCullom Lake and attended McHenry Community High School. In 1946, she married Harold M. Meyer in McHenry.  She became a resident of Valley Hi Nursing Home in 2010. Survivors include a brother, William (Catherine) Schlitt, Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Barbara A. Meyer, Portland, Ore., and Karen (Joel) Just, Elk Grove; three sons, Harold “Harry” Meyer, Yellville, Ark., John (Sandra) Meyer, Woodstock, and Joe (Linda) Meyer, Marengo; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Bob Prasse

Bob Prasse, 85, died June 28, 2012, in Woodstock. He was born May 13, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., to Herman and Phyllis (Grossius) Prasse. He graduated in 1944 from Hirsch High School in Chicago and soon after joined the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Pacific Theater. In 1951, he married his wife of more than 60 years, Darlene M. (Ahrens) Prasse, and together they had three children, Marliss, Brad (Leah) and Craig (Bonnie). He received a mechanical engineering degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1955. He excelled during his professional career as a sales engineer, retiring in 1988 from Westinghouse Corp. He was a man of faith and he instituted a PADS program at Our

Alec John Kaiser

Alec John Kaiser, 16, Woodstock, died Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born May 29, 1996, to Jerald Kaiser and Tiffany and William Sevcik. He touched many people in his life with his bright smile, charm and all around good nature. He loved being on his family’s dairy farm and working with the animals. He especially loved tinkering with the machinery with his uncle Jeff.  He also enjoyed showing his sister and brother the baby animals on the farm, giving them rides on his four- wheeler, spending time with them at home, wrestling and playing games on the Wii. Jacob Samuel Norys

Jacob Samuel Norys, 16, Woodstock, died Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born Nov. 16, 1995, to Stephen and Judy (Rausch) Norys, Woodstock.  He had just completed his sophomore year at Woodstock High School. He was passionate about many things and loved soccer and fishing. He showed a talent for soccer at a very young age and often played with teams coached by his father. He recently had completed a successful season in the top division of the Young Sportsmen’s Soccer League. He was an accomplished goalie and was known by his teammates as the “Kung Fu Panda of the Goal.”  He also was known for his smile and positive attitude. Fortino I. Hernandez

Fortino I. Hernandez, 87, Woodstock, died Sunday, June 24, 2012.  He was born Aug. 11, 1924, in Mexico. He was a full-blooded Native American Indian from the Apache tribe.  He started out as a farm laborer and worked himself up to a manufacturing position at Precision Twist Drill Co., Crystal Lake, where he retired as foreman.  He was well-known for his jovial personality and enjoyed playing practical jokes. He had a contagious smile and enjoyed gardening. He was a jack-of-all-trades and wore many hats. Survivors include three daughters, Maria (Chita) Welch, Dora Sicurella and Marissa Huffman; a son, Fortino Hernandez II; and nine grandchildren, Miguel Hernandez, Katrina Hernandez, Sonny and Sammy Sicurella, J.J., Gina and Amanda Hernandez, Tino Hernandez III
