Edna L. Clark

Edna L. Clark, 87, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Woodstock.

She was born July 29, 1924, in Woodstock, to Elmer and Alvina (Kiel) Broderman. 

She graduated from Woodstock Community High School in 1942.

On June 1, 1947, she married Gordon T. Clark in Woodstock and moved with him to the Clark dairy farm.

She enjoyed knitting, learning about Kiel-Broderman-Clark geneology and spending time with her family and friends.

She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock and worked as Executive Secretary for the church for more than 10 years in the 1970s and 80s.  She also worked as a secretary at First Methodist Church, Woodstock, for several years before retiring.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Clark, Chicago, and Debra (Don) Chapman, Ingleside; a daughter-in-law, Nancy (Bruns) Clark, Neenah, Wis.; two grandsons, Timothy (Marny) and Daniel (Cory) Clark; six great-grandchildren, Gracie, Ashley, Will, Noah, MaKaelyn and Mason; two nephews, Gary and David Nickels; a niece, Cheryl Nickels; and cousins in the U.S. and Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Steven A. Clark.

The visitation and funeral were July 11 at Grace Lutheran Church, Woodstock, followed by the burial at Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock.

Arrangements were made by the Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
