Lillian H. Granger

Lillian H. Granger, 100, Belvidere, formerly of Woodstock, died peacefully Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Heritage Woods, Belvidere.

She was born  June 26, 1917, to Henry and Pauline Seibel in Woodstock.

On March 25, 1939, she married Orval A. Granger.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Woodstock, where she was active with many church functions and activities. She was an active member of the Women of the Woodstock Moose Lodge.  She was an avid reader and loved gardening, cooking and baking.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie (Merle) Schultz; a son, Larry (Gayle) Granger;  grandchildren, Kathy (Dan) Hauser, Pam Schultz, Andrew Granger and Michael (Megan) Granger; great-grandchildren, Casey Hauser, Kyle Hauser, Spencer Kirk, Shelby Granger, Gabriel Granger and Jason Granger; a brother, Bill Seibel; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Hank (Helen) Seibel, and Fred (Ethel) Seibel; a sister, Pauline (Les) Young; and a sister-in-law, Fran Seibel.

The visitation and funeral were July 24 at Grace Lutheran Church, Woodstock. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock.

Memorials can be made to Grace Lutheran Church.

Arrangements were made by Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home.
