Diana Maria (Alvarez) Webster, 79, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2021, at home, with her beloved husband. Robert (Bob). and loyal companion. Lily. by her side.
She was born May 9, 1941. in Cotulla, Texas, to Pedro (Pete) and Margarita Alvarez. She married Bob on Feb. 27, 1960.
Diana was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother/great-grandmother.
She and Bob were blessed with four children, Theresa (Dan Buss), Daniel (Beth), Ralph, and Heather (Brett Heidtke). Her greatest joy was becoming Grandma to her eight grandchildren, Jarrad (Becky), Jamie (Rob Ehlenburg), Tyler (Kate), Bryce (Allie), Tate and Taylor (Kayla), Payton and Aj, as well as six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Oliver, Hudson, Miranda, Carson and Bentley, with another on the way. She cherished all of them immensely and loved watching the paths their lives were taking them. She also shared a special bond with her niece, Olga Untiedt.
Diana worked for several years as a pharmacy technician, starting at Buschkopf Pharmacy and then at Centegra until her retirement. She was an avid quilter, baker, cook, walker ,and Ohio Buckeyes fan (which was always a mystery to the rest of us). She loved to share her annual tamales and salsa with family and friends.
In addition to being survived by her family, she is also survived by her sister, Maria Alvarez-Varilla; brother, Alex (Barb); sister-in-law, Jody (Pat McCormick); along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents,; beloved daughter-in-law, Sheri; father-in-law, Harry; mother-in-law, Eleanor; brothers-in-law, Dick and Pat; along with nephew, Jerry Untiedt.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock IL 60098.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Gavers Cancer Foundation.
