Independent photo by Ken Farver | The COVID-19 pandemic made for an unusual home selling and buying process for Woodstock resident Jake Bummer, wife Mary Belden, and their children, Reece, 7, and Bailey, 5. “Keeping the house immaculate was challenging” with the children learning from home, Bummer said. He and Belden did not take the children house hunting with them. “We knew we could keep our hands to ourselves,” Belden said. Although they’ve driven past the home they bought and will move into this spring, “the kids still haven’t been in the house. They’re going to get a surprise when we move in there,” Bummer said.
