Trust the Torch!

During an unveiling last week, Opera House Director Daniel Campbell stands in a “corn field” on the main stage of the theater to demonstrate a new LED screen that will serve as a backdrop for various events and shows. “It’s essentially just a big TV,” Campbell told a group in attendance, “just bigger than what we’re used to around these parts.” Donations from various groups, including $25,000 from Friends of the Opera House, made possible the purchase of the equipment that Campbell said would bring 21st century technology to the 19th century building.
