Rockford Man Charged With Burglary at Laundromat

A Rockford man was charged in connection with a burglary at a Woodstock laundromat. 

Kenneth S. Nepras, 25, of the 1800 block of Kishwaukee Avenue, Rockford, was arrested May 5 for allegedly burglarizing and damaging property at Eastwood Coin Laundry, 450 S. Eastwood Drive. 

Woodstock Police responded at around 5:09 a.m. to a report of a burglary in progress, according to a press release from the Woodstock Police Department.

Police searched the business and found Nepras “as he was actively burglarizing and damaging property of the business,” according to the WPD. He was taken into custody without incident.

Nepras was charged with burglary, a Class 2 felony, and criminal damage to property, a Class A misdemeanor. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail, where he remained in custody as of May 15. His bond was set at $75,000.
