Joyce Perkins, 83, Woodstock, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Woodstock to Mamie and John Tornow. On Sept. 2, 1950, she married Donald L. Perkins. They enjoyed 63 wonderful years together.  She worked as the secretary of Westwood School in Woodstock and then as the executive director’s secretary at Pioneer Center in McHenry. She was very involved at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Union, where she was baptized, confirmed, married and played the organ for 58 years. She also taught Sunday school and served in Stephen Ministry, Ladies Aid and the altar guild. Edward Kline, 76, Woodstock, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at JourneyCare Hospice Inpatient Unit, Woodstock. He was born Sept. 8, 1973, in Woodstock to Raymond and Martha (Trantow) Kline.  On June 7, 1958, he married Nancy Johnson. He worked for Brown Manufacturing in Woodstock and was a longtime member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge. Survivors include a son, Kelly Kline; a daughter, Theresa Kline; a grandchild, Jennifer Church; and  two brothers, Jim (Rita) Kline and William (Marilyn) Kline. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Donald Kline; and a sister, Edith Kline. A memorial service was Oct. 5 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. John Louis Kaminski, 68, Wonder Lake, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at home.
 He was born Aug. 4, 1945, in Chicago to Stanley and Minnie (Langone) Kaminski.  On May 8, 1965, he married Lauren Kettner at St. Hubert Church in Hoffman Estates. He was a member of Christ the King Church in Wonder Lake, where he served as a parish council member. He also was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Boylan Assembly.  He enjoyed fishing and boating, was an avid White Sox fan and was a family man. Earl H. Brueggeman, 87, Woodstock, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Hearthstone Manor Nursing Home, Woodstock. He was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Worthington, Minn., to Harry H. and Louise (Leptien) Brueggeman.  On Feb. 5, 1955, he married Betty Collins in Oak Park. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army during World War II and celebrated his 19th birthday during the Battle of the Bulge.   He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church,Woodstock. He and his wife were active in the Weimaraner Club of Northern Illinois. He stayed active and enjoyed bowling leagues and golf leagues. He also followed NASCAR closely. Loretta F. Bottenfield, 91, Woodstock, formerly of Cleveland, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Valley Hi Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 26, 1921, in San Francisco to Neil and Emily (Labadie) Forrest.  She married Donald Lee Bottenfield. She was a homemaker and loved to play cards and crochet. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and Senior Silvers.  Survivors include a son, Neil; a daughter, Laurlee Paukert; four grandchildren, Donald J. Louise Graham Kelley, 90, Granbury, Texas, formerly of Woodstock, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at her residence at Quail Park Retirement Center, Granbury, Texas.  She was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Flour Bluff, Texas, to Thomas A. Graham and Mamie Grace Duncan Graham.  She met her husband, J.W. Kelly, at the United Service Organization on Ward Island in Texas during World War II.  She lived in Woodstock for 38 years and was active with the Welcome Wagon. She was active in community events including garden club and Cub Scouts. After moving to Austin she was active in the Merchants Greeters. Margaret F. Davis, 77, Woodstock, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Centegra  Hospital – Woodstock. She was born in Harvard Sept. 17, 1936, to Frank and Wilma (Nothnagel) Berna.  On May 23, 1970, she married Weyman Davis in Woodstock. She was a beautician for most of her life and owned and operated Dorothy’s Beauty Salon in Woodstock for many years. She was an active member of the Free Methodist Church in Woodstock, serving as its librarian for many years. She enjoyed knitting and made many afghans which she donated to Project Lioness. Harold “Randy” Randall, 85, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013. after a courageous fight with Parkinson’s disease. He was born March 8, 1928, in Morris to Harry and Margit Randall. He married Susan Kindelspire, his sweetheart since grade school, in 1950. He joined the United States Navy in 1944 and was a gunner’s mate on the U.S.S. Intrepid aircraft carrier in the Pacific. He worked for Illinois Bell in Morris. One of his loves was camping, and he happily dedicated many years to the Boy Scouts of America as a scoutmaster. Harry H. Haymaker, 89, Woodstock and Port Charlotte, Fla., died Thursday, Sept., 26, 2013, at home. He was born March 20, 1924, in South Bend, Ind., to Harry and Opal Haymaker. On Sept. 22, 1951, he married Catherine E. Gilhooly at Our Lady of the Angels in Chicago. He was in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Chicago police officer for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Freda Carolyn Heaven, 85, Woodstock, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. She was born April 6, 1928, in Deer Park, Washington. She worked in insurance and real estate sales until she retired at the age of 45. She then pursued her passion, which was art, and focused on oil painting, scrimshaw and pine -needle basket weaving.  Survivors include two sons, Bruce and Dale Heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995 and a daughter in 2006.
