Patricia Lynn Fry

Patricia Lynn Fry, 57, Wonder Lake, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at home.  She was born July 8, 1955, in Chicago to Otis and Shirley (Graham) Biglow.  On July 8, 1977, she married Thomas R. Fry in Waukegan.  Formerly of Johnsburg, Patricia had been a resident of Wonder Lake since 1993. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and tending her flower garden. She treasured time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Anastacia (Jeff) Griffin, Johnsburg, and Ashley (Antonio) Fry, Wonder Lake; a son, Tom (Selina) Fry, Ingleside; six grandchildren, James, Brian, Alyssa and Drake Griffin, Enzo Fry and Crysta Cruz; her mother, Shirley Lilla, Fox Lake; and a brother, Timothy Biglow. John K. Tornow

John K. “Bud” Tornow, 86, died Sept. 1, 2012, at Fraser Meadows Health Care Center, Boulder, Colo. He was born Dec. 29, 1925, in Hartland to John F. and Mame (Selchow) Tornow.  He graduated from Woodstock High School in 1943. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a flight radio operator. He was honorably discharged July 9, 1946. On Aug. 16, 1958, he married Janet M. “Jan” Locke in Woodstock. He was a skilled carpenter and had several of his homes featured on Woodstock’s Holiday House Walk. Donald M. Sesko

Donald M. Sesko, 62, Islamorada, Fla., formerly of Woodstock, died Aug. 14, 2012, in Islamorada. He was born July 10, 1950, in Chicago to Aloysious John and Charlotte  Eleanor (Trange) Sesko.   On April 5, 1985, he married Deb Gibson. He and his wife owned Boulder Lodge in Barnes, Wis., for 15 years. They moved to Islamorada in 2005, where Don worked maintenance for the Chesapeake Beach Resort for seven years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeremy and Shane Sesko, both of Woodstock; a grandson, Connor; and a brother, Ken (Sandy) Sesko, Chilliwack, B.C. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly. A celebration of his life, followed by a memorial service, will be held

Keith C. Buol

Keith C. Buol, 54, McHenry, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 6, 1958, in Woodstock, to Kenneth and Rose (Quall) Buol. On July 7, 1979, he married Tammy Schafer in Elkhorn, Wis. He was employed by Sloan Valve of Franklin Park for more than 35 years as a machinist. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jason Buol, Hampshire, Jeremy Buol, McHenry, and Corey (Jodi) Buol, Wonder Lake; two grandsons, Damien and Logan; his mother, Union Grove, Wis.; his mother-in-law, Darlene Schafer, Elkhorn; and two brothers-in-law, David (Sandy) Schafer, Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Kerry (Peggy) Schafer, Elkhorn. Robert Reese

Robert Reese, 88, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. He was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Woodstock to William E. and Clara K. (Stolp) Reese.  He was a lifelong Woodstock resident and 1944 graduate of Woodstock High School.  During his senior year he was drafted. He served in the U.S. Navy after completing his basic training at Great Lakes. He was a 3rd Class Petty Officer and a signalman on the troop transport ship USS Lenawee PA 195. He traveled to ports in the Pacific such as San Diego, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Pearl Harbor and  the Hawaiian Islands. Dominic R. Davis

Dominic R. Davis, infant son of Christopher and Theodora (Bicouvaris) Davis, Woodstock, died at birth Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Survivors include his parents; a sister, Brooklynn; his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Angie Keys, Crystal Lake; and his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Davis, Crystal Lake. Bettie J. Stieg

Bettie J. Stieg, 88, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Woodstock. She was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Marengo, to Theodore and Lila (Loomis) Beck. On Dec. 27, 1941, she married Walter R. Stieg Jr. in Hannibal, Mo. She loved cooking and catering for special events.  She also loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Jerry (Linda) Stieg, Woodstock; a daughter, Patricia (Andrew) Hermonson, Stuart, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Dale (Cindi) Stolldorf, Christine (Don) Linhart, Kimberly (Keith) Gonzales, Kelly (Brian) Kerwin, Michael (Mary) Stieg and Kayla and Josh Hermonson; nine great-grandchildren, Lynea, Kalli, Rachael, Noah, Kevyn, Paige, Cheryl, Jessica and Ryan; and a great-great- granddaughter, Peyton. Vivian R. Hartmann

Vivian R. Hartmann, 84, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Hearthside in Sister Bay, Wis.  She was born June 21, 1928, in Melrose Park, to Robert A. Reek and Iola C. Reek.  On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Ralph G. Hartmann in Maywood. She was a loving wife and mother of four.  She and her husband owned and operated Hartmann Sign Studio for 40 years. She was a member of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church and enjoyed her family, mowing the lawn, playing solitaire and watching “Wheel of Fortune.”  She displayed her personality by wearing colorful and flashy earrings. Michael E. Richardson

Michael E. Richardson, 56, Wonder Lake, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012. He was a union electrician who loved music and nature, especially the desert and animals. Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Renee Wegner and Tiffany (Jeff) Richardson Sorenson; and two grandchildren, Tori and Christian Sorenson. Inurnment was private. Arrangements were made by Northern Illinois Funeral Services.

Raymond W. Guenther

Raymond W. Guenther, 91, Mountain Home, Ark., and formerly of Woodstock and Harvard, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Home. He was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Niles Center, now Skokie. Survivors include five brothers, Walter (the late Genevieve) Guenther, Robert (Vernette) Guenther,  Donald (the late Velria) Guenther, Vern (Jean) Guenther and Irv (the late Marion) Guenther; three sisters,  Dorothy (the late Arnold) Brockmann, Ruth (the late Clarence) Vogt and Helen (the late William) Hetzke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline (Hogreve) and a brother, Arthur (Lorraine) Guenther. Visitation was Aug. 29 at The Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows. The funeral was Aug. 30 at the funeral home.  Interment was in Memory
