John Louis Kaminski

John Louis Kaminski, 68, Wonder Lake, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at home.
 He was born Aug. 4, 1945, in Chicago to Stanley and Minnie (Langone) Kaminski.  On May 8, 1965, he married Lauren Kettner at St. Hubert Church in Hoffman Estates. He was a member of Christ the King Church in Wonder Lake, where he served as a parish council member. He also was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Boylan Assembly.  He enjoyed fishing and boating, was an avid White Sox fan and was a family man. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Friedle, McHenry; three grandchildren, Madalynn, Braden and Jocelynn Friedle; a sister, Kathy (partner Frank) Theis; many nieces and nephews; and

Earl H. Brueggeman

Earl H. Brueggeman, 87, Woodstock, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Hearthstone Manor Nursing Home, Woodstock. He was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Worthington, Minn., to Harry H. and Louise (Leptien) Brueggeman.  On Feb. 5, 1955, he married Betty Collins in Oak Park. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army during World War II and celebrated his 19th birthday during the Battle of the Bulge.   He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church,Woodstock. He and his wife were active in the Weimaraner Club of Northern Illinois. He stayed active and enjoyed bowling leagues and golf leagues. He also followed NASCAR closely. Loretta F. Bottenfield

Loretta F. Bottenfield, 91, Woodstock, formerly of Cleveland, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Valley Hi Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 26, 1921, in San Francisco to Neil and Emily (Labadie) Forrest.  She married Donald Lee Bottenfield. She was a homemaker and loved to play cards and crochet. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and Senior Silvers.  Survivors include a son, Neil; a daughter, Laurlee Paukert; four grandchildren, Donald J. Paukert, Darryl Paukert, Lisa Paukert and Doran Bottenfield; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Paul Forrest. Visitation and the funeral were Oct. 1 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock. Memorials

E. Louise Graham Kelley

E. Louise Graham Kelley, 90, Granbury, Texas, formerly of Woodstock, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at her residence at Quail Park Retirement Center, Granbury, Texas.  She was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Flour Bluff, Texas, to Thomas A. Graham and Mamie Grace Duncan Graham.  She met her husband, J.W. Kelly, at the United Service Organization on Ward Island in Texas during World War II.  She lived in Woodstock for 38 years and was active with the Welcome Wagon. She was active in community events including garden club and Cub Scouts. After moving to Austin she was active in the Merchants Greeters. She was especially proud of welcoming Sissy Spacek to the Austin community. Survivors include two daughters, Janet (Royce) Stacy,

Margaret F. Davis

Margaret F. Davis, 77, Woodstock, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Centegra  Hospital – Woodstock. She was born in Harvard Sept. 17, 1936, to Frank and Wilma (Nothnagel) Berna.  On May 23, 1970, she married Weyman Davis in Woodstock. She was a beautician for most of her life and owned and operated Dorothy’s Beauty Salon in Woodstock for many years. She was an active member of the Free Methodist Church in Woodstock, serving as its librarian for many years. She enjoyed knitting and made many afghans which she donated to Project Lioness. She will be remembered for her baking, especially banana bread, which she generously shared with family, friends and neighbors. Survivors include a son, Mark (Terry) Davis, Genoa City,

Harold 'Randy' Randall

Harold “Randy” Randall, 85, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013. after a courageous fight with Parkinson’s disease. He was born March 8, 1928, in Morris to Harry and Margit Randall. He married Susan Kindelspire, his sweetheart since grade school, in 1950. He joined the United States Navy in 1944 and was a gunner’s mate on the U.S.S. Intrepid aircraft carrier in the Pacific. He worked for Illinois Bell in Morris. One of his loves was camping, and he happily dedicated many years to the Boy Scouts of America as a scoutmaster. The highlight of his scouting years was taking his troop, including his sons, to the National Jamboree in Idaho. Due to his guidance, both his sons and grandsons attained

Harry H. Haymaker

Harry H. Haymaker, 89, Woodstock and Port Charlotte, Fla., died Thursday, Sept., 26, 2013, at home. He was born March 20, 1924, in South Bend, Ind., to Harry and Opal Haymaker. On Sept. 22, 1951, he married Catherine E. Gilhooly at Our Lady of the Angels in Chicago. He was in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Chicago police officer for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Karl) Jung and Diane (Phil) Evans; three sons, Gary (Nadine), Jerry and Paul (Mary); 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; and two sisters, Adele and Mary. Freda Carolyn Heaven

Freda Carolyn Heaven, 85, Woodstock, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. She was born April 6, 1928, in Deer Park, Washington. She worked in insurance and real estate sales until she retired at the age of 45. She then pursued her passion, which was art, and focused on oil painting, scrimshaw and pine -needle basket weaving.  Survivors include two sons, Bruce and Dale Heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995 and a daughter in 2006.

Marjorie Ann Hayden

Marjorie Ann Hayden, 86, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at home. She was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Woodstock to Albin and Celia Kuppe. On Dec. 30, 1950, she married Donald Robert Hayden. She attended St. Mary’s College, South Bend, Ind. She held variety of occupations, most notably as former treasury officer at Rockford Life Insurance Co. The focus of her life was her family, friends and her Catholic faith. She was devoted to the blessed Virgin Mary, especially in times of trial. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, South Beloit, Wis. She was a master knitter, loved Notre Dame, the Chicago Bears, crossword puzzles and marathon bridge games with her many friends. She loved people

Donald E. Tibbitts

Donald E. Tibbitts, 76, Woodstock, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Centegra Hospital – Woodstock, surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 5, 1937, in Chicago to Edward and Mary Tibbitts.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and traveling. He was a member of the United States Army where he served proudly at home and abroad. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Judith; a son, John Tibbitts, Palatine; a daughter, Susan (Bart) Muno, Woodstock; a brother, Tom Tibbitts, Harvard; a sister, Kathy Mackey, Tempe, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Brooke and Brandy. He was preceded in death by his parents. His immediate family attended a private memorial service. A celebration of life memorial service for family and friends
