Marlene Joan (Walsh) Stock, 79, formerly of Woodstock, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Hospice of the Valley, Surprise, Ariz., after a battle with cancer. She was born May 9, 1936, to George and Matilda (Haley) Walsh in Newburgh, N.Y. She married Thomas Stock in 1956. After they were married, the couple lived in Woodstock until 1998 when they moved to Arizona, living in Prescott Valley and then Sun City West.  Early in life, she worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Newburgh and Woodstock. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in addictions counseling from Westbrook University in 2003 and worked as a substance-abuse and family counselor for 15 years. Gerald A. “Yogi” Bauman, 74, Union, died March 22, 2016, at JourneyCare Hospice Center, Woodstock.  He was born Oct. 14, 1941, to Arnold and Bernice (Piske) Bauman.  On April 13, 1968, he married Dora Munson Yardley. He was a proud 50-year member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, serving as an officer and president/business manager of Local 1035 from 1994 until his retirement in 1998. He was a long-standing member of the Union Lions Club and Woodstock Moose Lodge 1329.  He loved boating, fishing, camping with family and friends and playing golf. Daniel J. Gibson, 49, Lake Geneva, Wis., died unexpectedly Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was born Dec. 18, 1966, to Robert and Alice (Whalen) Gibson in Beloit, Wis.  He was a 1984 graduate of Woodstock High School.  He attended  Southern Illinois University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Karrie; two sons, Evan Gibson and Nathan Gibson, both of Lake Geneva; his parents, Robert and Alice Gibson; and a brother, Dave Gibson. Daniel Johnson, 62, Florence, Ky., formerly of Marengo, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Nov. 24, 1953, to Myron and Elizabeth Johnson in Rolla, Mo.  On Aug. 24, 2013, he married Cheryl Wilson. He worked as a capacity planner for Vantiv. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Harley rider.  He always had a way to make people smile, and he loved spending time with his family. Elgin O. Zuhlke, 90, Delavan, Wis., formerly of Harvard, died suddenly Thursday, March 3, 2016, in Delavan. He was born May 3, 1925, to Otto and Anna L. (Ames) Zuhlke in Coloma, Wis. On June 1, 1946, he married Irenee Fritsch in Harvard. She died March 4, 2011. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He worked in the dairy business at Dean Foods for many years, later working at Bowman’s, Harvard, and Borden’s in Woodstock. He could fix anything. He was very talented in small engine repair, carpentry, welding and anything else he decided to put his mind to. He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mark James Dice, 56, Woodstock, died March 5, 2016, from a sudden cardiac arrest in Woodstock. He was born on July 3, 1959, to Bernice and Fleming Dice in Waukegan. He was a 1977 graduate of St. Charles High school. He graduated from Elgin Community College with an associate’s degree, and he attended Northern Illinois University.  He loved his work as a graphic artist. He will be fondly remembered for his huge laughter, large heart and sweet kindness. He enjoyed his music, his dogs and cars and motorcycles. Joanne Grace Hill Tarbox Styles, 98, Mount Morris, died Saturday, March 5.   She was born Jan. 3, 1918, to Roger and Hortense Hill in Chicago.   In 1939, she married Hascy Tarbox. They were married for 52 years until his death in 1991.   The couple had two children, Melinda (Alfred) Reitman and Todd (Shirley) Tarbox, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.   In 1994, she married Lee Styles. They were married for 10 years until his death in 2004.   For more than 30 years, the Hills owned and operated the Todd School for Boys in Woodstock until it closed in 1954. Foreman, 75, Woodstock, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, peacefully in the comfort of her own home.  She was born Dec. 10, 1940, to Fred and Velma (Bird) Pope in Woodstock.   On Dec. 2, 1985, she married James Foreman in Las Vegas.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Woodstock, and Women of the Moose Lodge No 1329. She was a homemaker most of her life and recently retired as a bus aide for Woodstock School District 200. While working as a bus aide, she looked forward to helping special-needs children.  She was a woman full of life and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her beloved children and granddaughters.
