Robert A. Korslin
Robert A. Korslin, 90, Belvidere, formerly of Woodstock, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Rosholt, Wis., to Oscar H. and Ella F. (Schlenvoght) Korslin. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from May 1943 to March 1946. He achieved the rank of aerographer’s mate, 3rd class and always was proud of his military service. On Aug. 23, 1947, he married Virginia M. Miller in Waukegan. He was a farmer at heart, and he and his wife raised four children on a dairy farm in Harvard. He later worked as a machinist and a real estate salesman and was a member of First Presbyterian
