Our Student of the Week, Dante Bucci, is a senior at Marian Central Catholic High School. He is the son of Nick and Kellie Bucci, Woodstock. “Throughout high school, Dante has always challenged himself academically. He takes his education very seriously and always strives to do his very best. In addition to his role as co-director of tutoring, Dante willingly shares his knowledge with others by tutoring others who are struggling with their academics,” said one of his teachers. In school, Dante currently is a member of the high honor roll and the National Honor Society, in the top 10 percent of his class and received the George Eastman Young Leaders Award. He is the Theater Club co-president, executive vice president of student council, co-leader of Madrigals, a Mentor Council Leader, a varsity golfer and first chair piano player in the school band. In the community, Dante is an altar server at St. Thomas the Apostle, helps package food for Feed My Starving Children and helps distribute food for the Mobile Food Truck. When asked who inspires him, Dante said, “My sister motivates me because she works hard at everything she does and is a caring person with a strong faith life. She is my role model in academics and in my faith life.”
When asked why he feels successful, Dante said he is successful because he has been “blessed with supportive and loving family and friends who consistently motivate me and push me to be the best version of myself.”
