Walter F. O’Grady, 84, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Crossroads Care Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1933, to William F. and Marie L. O’Grady in Chicago.
He was a banker for 15 years and a well-respected history teacher at McHenry County College for six years.
He was very involved with St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hartland, serving as a cantor for many years. He was an avid golfer and a man of many interests. Most importantly, he was a loving and devoted husband.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Vogt) O’Grady.
The visitation and funeral Mass were Feb. 1 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hartland.
Interment was private.
Arrangements were made by Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
