Karen L. Rousey, 78, Woodstock, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, in Woodstock.
She was born Jan. 4, 1940, to Omer Lee (Evelyn) Chronister in McAlester, Oklahoma.
On June 17, 1961, she married Glenn Rousey in Woodstock.
She served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1961 as a medic in Norfolk, Virginia.
She worked for Guardian Electric for many years.
She enjoyed camping with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Denise Rousey; grandchildren, Kevin, Jason (Ashley), Katie and Joshua Flaig; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was Jan. 30 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. Burial was at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
