William A. Brucher, 73, of Woodstock, died Friday May 24, 2019, at the Pavilion of Waukegan Care Unit.
He was born in Chicago on March 16, 1946, to Andrew and Lillian (Woods) Brucher.
Bill was a veteran serving in the Navy. He worked as a police officer for Woodstock Police Department for 23 years. For 25 years he was a volunteer fireman for the Woodstock Fire Department. He also drove a school bus for District 200 for many years. He was an avid Chicago Bear and Chicago Cub fan. He was loved and will be missed.
He is survived by a son, Brian (Christine) Brucher; a grandson, Andrew Trimble.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathi Taylor Brucher, and a son, Jacob Brucher.
