Wayne G. Frame

Wayne G. Frame, 85, Woodstock, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Hartland.

He was born June 8, 1932, in Woodstock to Charles and Ann (Larsen) Frame.

He married Olive M. Slavin Nov. 19, 1955, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hartland.

Wayne was a veteran, serving in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He served on the USS Monrovia in the communications division. He worked for Commonwealth Edison for 40 years. After retirement, he spent many winters at his home in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas, where he volunteered at his church for Habitat for Humanity projects.

In earlier years, he coached with the Woodstock Little League and for the St. Mary School Athletic Basketball program. He was a member of St. Mary Church, the Woodstock Knights of Columbus, the VFW and the Woodstock Moose Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Marc (Carol) Frame and Gregory (Amy) Frame; three grandchildren, Elise (Tyler) Zacharias, Christopher Frame and Caroline Frame; a great-granddaughter, Margaret Zacharias; and a brother, Ronald (Gina) Frame.

He was preceded in death by his wife June 25, 2014.

Visitation and the funeral Mass were held Jan. 12 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock. Interment was in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Hartland.

Memorial donations can be made to the Guardian Angel Fund at St. Mary School, or to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
