Vivian R. Hartmann

Vivian R. Hartmann, 84, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Hearthside in Sister Bay, Wis. 

She was born June 21, 1928, in Melrose Park, to Robert A. Reek and Iola C. Reek. 

On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Ralph G. Hartmann in Maywood.

She was a loving wife and mother of four. 

She and her husband owned and operated Hartmann Sign Studio for 40 years. She was a member of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church and enjoyed her family, mowing the lawn, playing solitaire and watching “Wheel of Fortune.” 

She displayed her personality by wearing colorful and flashy earrings.

Survivors include her husband; a brother, Robert A. (Evelyn) Reek, Prescott, Ariz.; a son, Donald J. (Lisa) Hartmann, Woodstock; two daughters, Carol H.(Marc) Champeau, Ellison Bay, Wis., and Judy H.(Greg) Cain, Jefferson, Ga.; five grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Jennifer, Katie and Rebecca; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Lily, Cameron, Cannon, Wilburn, Taylor and Berkley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas A. Hartmann; and a grandson, Christopher M. Kiley.

Visitation was Aug. 15 at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, followed by a memorial service.

Memorials can be sent to Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church Building Fund, 11836 Wisconsin 42, Ellison Bay, WI 54210. Arrangements were made by Casperson Funeral Home, Sister Bay, Wis.
