Viola Helen Justen

Viola Helen Justen, 95, Woodstock, died Friday, June 22, at Crossroads Care Center, Woodstock. 

She was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Crystal Lake, to Bert and Mary (Demien) Maynard.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Woodstock. She worked at Oak Manufacturing in Crystal Lake for 20 years.

She loved the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She was loved by her family, and she will be missed.

Survivors include a son, Joseph (Nancy) Justen; eight grandchildren, Ted Justen, Robin Covington, Terri Davis, Joel Justen, David Justen, Crystal Blevins, Cathe Ladner and Lori Woolsey, and their spouses; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.

The visitation and funeral were June 30 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.

Burial was at McMillan Cemetery, Nunda Township.
