Scott H. Denman, 60, Woodstock

Scott H. Denman, 60, Woodstock, died unexpectedly April 17, 2016. 

He was born Feb. 28, 1956, to Raymond and Elizabeth (Myers) Denman in Syracuse, N.Y.

On Oct. 6, 1984, he married Denise Marie Gahl. 

He graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School in 1974. He moved from Jamesville, N.Y., to Woodstock in 1980. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology in February 1989. He was an application technician in the project execution group at Linde LLC for 27 years. 

He was a God-fearing man who loved to travel, and he loved sports. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Caleb (Samantha), Luke and Aaron; two puppies, Bailey and Sophie; two sisters, Patty Van De Walker and Debbie (David) Grisenthwaite; many nieces, nephews and cousins; a sister-in-law, Dee Denman; his father-in-law, Harold Gahl; a brother-in-law, Dan Gahl; a sister-in-law, Dana (Ben) Harper; and their children, Savannah, Sage and Kaden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Raymond. 

Visitation and memorial service were April 23 at Woodstock Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. David Cooper officiating. Burial was at the Union Cemetery, Union.

Memorials may be given to the family which will be designated at a later date.

Arrangements were made by Defiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, Huntley.
