Russell Edward Pemble, 57, Woodstock, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock.
He was born Jan. 24, 1957, to Howard and Jean (Kratunis) Pemble in Waukegan.
On May 18, 1976, he married Karen Duley in Woodstock.
He was known to always be available to help, always putting the needs of others before his own. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he loved golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his mother; his wife; a son Brian (Melissa) Pemble; a daughter, Jennifer (David) Ocelotl; six grandchildren, David, Michael and Matthew Ocelotl, and Dean, Aiden and Christian Pemble; two brothers, Grant (Pamela) Pemble and Howie Pemble; and a sister, Patty Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Elmer and Richard.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
