Roger Wells Dermont, 84, Wann, Okla., died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1933, to Arthur and Gwendolyn (Carpenter) Dermont in Crystal Lake.

Ten years ago he married Mary Christine Wycoff.

He was a 1951 graduate of Woodstock High School. He worked for 10 years as a district sales manager for the Rockford Register Star. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he received the National Defense Medal along with the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, Navy Club and the American Legion, and First United Methodist Church, Woodstock. He held a special place in his heart for all his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Tammy (Tim) Thornton, Bartlesville, Okla., Mike Dermont, Lenapah, Okla., and Tony Dermont, Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Lindsay (Corey) Howerton, Nowata, Okla., and Rachel (Lucas) Floyd, Nowata; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Howerton and Rylee Howerton; and many  relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Nicholas Dermont.

Graveside services were Feb. 7 at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Lenapah, Okla. Donations can be made to the American Legion.

Funeral arrangements were made by Benjamin Funeral Service, Nowata.
