Nancy R. Maynard

Nancy R. Maynard, 68, of Hebron, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at her home.

She was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Woodstock to Raymond and Margaret (Willig) Kollenkark. She married Harry Maynard on July 15, 1967, in Woodstock.

Nancy had worked for Woodstock Confectionary for many years. She was currently with the McHenry County Clerk’s Office, where she had been for the past 25 years. Working for the confectionary gave her a love of all things sweet. Christmas was literally made of candy at her house. She also loved to bake. She was an animal lover and had volunteered with the humane society. She appreciated all animals, but was partial to her cats. In addition, she followed baseball and football, both pro and college, and loved car racing and, of course, her flowers.

Mrs. Maynard is survived by her husband, Harry Maynard; a daughter, Jaclyn Marie (George) Kramer; a son, Timothy (Michelle) Maynard; a brother, Richard (Sandy) Kollenkark; and many nieces, nephews, and “grandpets.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Toewe; and a brother, Kenneth Kollenkark.

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.

Memorials may be made to Helping Paws, or any humane society.
