Marilyn J. Collignon, 90

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, Marilyn J. Collignon (née Walker), loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 90.

Marilyn was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Chicago to Harry and Olive Walker. She dedicated over 25 years to working at UOP in Des Plaines. Her true passion, though, was theater, a love she passed down to her children and grandchild, spending many years as president of the Des Plaines Theatre Guild as well as serving as costumer, props mistress, crew member, and stage manager, even appearing onstage occasionally in small roles. Most recently, she found a love for scrapbooking (or as she called it, “photo art”) and could always be found poring over her endless genealogy records.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her father, Harry, and her mother, Olive. She is survived by her daughter ,Lisa; her son, Donald (Christine); and her granddaughter, Jessica (Colin).

A celebration of life will be held at the Woodstock Opera House (121 Van Buren St., Woodstock, IL 60098) on April 29, 2022, at 2 p.m.
