Linda L. Coss

Linda L. Coss, 69, died Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Woodstock surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Elgin to Edward and Rose Ann (Gallagher) Broederdorf. She married the late J.C Coss on Aug. 13, 1993.

Linda was a homemaker most of her life  She loved quilting, stitching, sewing, and watching “Jeopardy” with friends. She was quite the drawing artist as well. She had an ability to make everyone around her laugh with her great sense of humor.

She was most proud of being a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Rose Ann; three sons, James (Lisa) Furst, Timothy Furst, and Robert (Holly) Furst; two daughters, Marcy (Mark) Estenson and Amanda (Kip Rose) Furst; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Thomas, Josh, Faith, Jacob, Jimmy, Timmy, and Grant; three sisters, Edith, Ruth, and Karen; five brothers, Les, Jim, John, Roger, and Ken; and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her friends in the community and by the ladies of Senior Lane.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, a longtime companion, Duane “Dewey” McDonald; her best friend, Gail Orr; and a brother; Edward.

A memorial service was held May 5 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home.
