Leonel Q. Cruz

Leonel Q. Cruz, 27, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.

He was born March 11, 1985, in Woodstock, to Guillermo and Gloria (Quintero) Cruz.

Survivors include his parents; his brothers and sisters, Filimon Cruz, Sonia Cruz, Marisol Cruz, Guillermo Cruz Jr., Yesenia Cruz and Sergio Cruz; nieces and nephews, Molly Hanson, Sofia Melligan Cruz, Jasmine Macias, Mireyah Macias, Leonardo Cruz, Marisol Cruz, Xavier Cruz and Esmeralda Cruz; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jose and Angelita Quintero; his paternal grandparents, Jose and Manuela Cruz; a brother, Arturo Cruz; and three uncles, Juvencio Cruz, Hermilo Cruz and Nicolas Quintero.

Visitation was Oct. 5 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.

The funeral Mass was Oct. 6 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock.

Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock. Memorials may be made to the family for designation at a later date.
