Lawrence ‘Larry’ T. Schnulle

Lawrence “Larry” T. Schnulle, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, in Harlingen, Texas.

He was born Oct. 22, 1940, to Lester and Vera Schnulle in Hartland.

He worked as a highway maintenance worker with the McHenry County Division of Transportation for 35 years. He lived in Illinois for many years and Missouri as well. Upon retirement, he and his wife became winter visitors to the Harlingen area and made Harlingen their home five years ago. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1329 for more than 50 years and Elks Lodge #1043 for 35 years.

He loved hunting, fishing and John Wayne movies. He also loved the time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Schnulle; children, Paul Schnulle, Phillip (Charlene) Schnulle, Julie (Jeff) Luetschwager, Kathy (Lenny) Ritzert and Kevin (Cathi) Kleckner;  brothers and sisters; Vernon (Dawn), Fred (Brenda), Bob (Gail), Carl (Rose), Harry (Bonnie), Sharon (Roger), Susie (Roger) and Paula (Larry); sisters-in-law,  Elizabeth and Barbara; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Ronnie Schnulle, Bill Schnulle, Sandy Johnson, Jim Schnulle, Dick Schnulle, Ed (Buster) Schulle, and Sally Schnulle; and a nephew, Jimmie Schnulle.

Visitation was Oct. 31 and the funeral was Nov. 1, at  Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock
