Judith (Judi) M. Sova, 73, of McHenry, Ill., passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018.
Judi was born on Jan. 16, 1945, to John Wood Sr. and Mildred Wood (née Allen). She spent her early life in Mexico, New York, married Bruce Sova, and they moved to Illinois.
Judi was employed at Precision Twist/Sandvik until her retirement. Her pleasure in life was spending time with her family and friends, her cats, watching Westerns, M&M characters, and everything Elvis. She enjoyed visiting her family in New York as often as possible.
Judi is survived by her sister Nancy Murphy, sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Wood, David Darrow, Josephine (Dick) Rauch, Daniel (Theresa) Sova, David (Carole) Sova, Wayne (Doreen) Sova, Karen Sova, Sheila (George) Todd; many nieces, nephews, and friends, including her very close friend of 32 years, Mardell Cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Carol and Sharon; brothers, John Wood Jr. and Michael Wood.
A memorial service to celebrate Judi’s life, will be held on Dec.1, 2018, from 1 to 2 p.m., at McHenry County Memorial Park, 11301 Lake Ave., Woodstock, IL, 60098. Well-wishers may visit www.slmcfh.com.
