John M. Warush, 92, Woodstock, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in Woodstock.
He was born May 9, 1924, to Michael and Cecelia (Gondek) Warush in Latrobe, Penn.
On Nov. 9, 1946, he married Florence B. Dubiel in Chicago.
Mr. Warush served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the Addison VFW Post 7446 and a member of the Senior Polka Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne (Jeffrey) Peterson; four sisters, Bernice, Theresa, Jane and Ceil; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Joseph and Edward; and two sisters, Helen and Mary Ann.
Visitation and funeral were held April 6 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. Private interment was in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice.
