Jessica Marie Avila

Jessica Marie Avila, 36, Woodstock, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 8, 1978, to Joseph and Lindy (Davis) Ehardt in Harvard. 
On April 5, 2006, she married Martin Avila in Woodstock. 
She attended Woodstock High School and was a member of The Church of Holy Apostles, McHenry. After high school, she worked at Angelo’s Restaurant, Woodstock, before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Her greatest joy was raising her family. A loving mother, wife, daughter and sister, she will be remembered as a thoughtful and kind-hearted person who was always all about family. 
Survivors include her husband; five children, Petra, Martin Jr., Juan, America and Jesse; her father, Joseph (Wendy) Ehardt Sr.; a sister, Melissa Ehardt; two brothers, Joseph (Tabitha) Ehardt and Zebulon Austin; two step-sisters, Khara Fenton and Kristina Howen; her father-in-law, Alberto Avila; her mother in-law, Maria Avila; two grandmothers, Wilma Davis and Mary Lou Ehardt; 12 nephews; two nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lindy. 
The visitation was Oct. 13, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, McHenry. The funeral Mass was Oct. 14 at The Church of Holy Apostles, McHenry. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
