Jeannette Latham, 92, Hebron, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at Centegra HospitalWoodstock.
She was born May 28, 1920, in Hebron to Arthur and Ethel (Turner) Cornue.
A lifetime resident of Hebron, she graduated from Hebron High School in 1938 and Blackburn College in 1940.
On June 29, 1946, she married Arthur “Red” Latham in Hebron.
She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church for more than 65 years, sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was president of the United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Hebron American Legion Auxiliary.
She also was an avid reader and loved music, theater, movies and plays.
Survivors include a daughter, Barb (Dan) Slavin, Woodstock; four grandchildren, Patrick (Melissa) Slavin, Westminster, Colo., Andrew (Yvonne) Slavin, Breckenridge, Colo., Amy (Jeff) Patek, Walworth, Wis., and Michael (Wendy) Schaid, Hebron; seven great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Ed Riley, Walworth, Wisc.; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Cornue, Hebron, and Tillie Cornue, Elkhorn, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; a daughter, Kathy Riley; a sister, Irene Morgan; and three brothers, James, Richard and Wesley Cornue.
Visitation was Aug. 2 at Hebron United Methodist Church.
The funeral was Aug. 3 at the church.The Rev. Soon Sun Lee and the Rev. Mabel Rice officiated.
Interment was at Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Hebron.
