Jamieson Ryan Robinett, 46

On Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, Jamieson Ryan Robinett, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away with his family at his side at the young age of 46 after a 14-month battle with cancer. 

Jamie was born in Woodstock on July 31, 1977, to David and Tammy (Church) Robinett. He attended Olson Elementary and Junior High School and Woodstock High School, where he played soccer. He graduated high school in 1996 and went on to attend Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from SIUC in 2000.

Jamie was a die-hard Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks fan. His love of sports also extended to playing in various recreational leagues, including volleyball, softball, and flag football. Outside of sports, he loved comedies, and there wasn’t a movie he couldn’t quote verbatim. 

Jamie was best known for his smile, creativity, love for dogs, and quick-witted humor. 

Jamie is survived by his parents, David and Tammy (Church) Robinett; a brother, Josh Robinett; a sister, Alyssa Rosati; nephews Jackson Robinett, Luca Rosati, Jacob Rosati, and Ryan Rosati; a niece, Ella Robinett; loving canine companion, April; sister-in-law, Laurie (Josh) Robinett; brother-in-law, Mike (Alyssa) Rosati; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He has grandparents, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin, and a few special friends that were, no doubt, waiting to greet him with open arms upon arrival at his new heavenly home. 

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
