James C. Zbilski, 62

James C. Zbilski, 62, of Woodstock, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023. James, known as Jim, was born on June 25, 1961, in Skokie, Ill., to Thomas and Irene Zbilski. 

Jim is survived by his two children, Theresa Delamora (Austin) and Tom Zbilski (Melissa). Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Jean M Zbilski, and parents, Thomas and Irene.

Jim was always busy on the farm, whether he was feeding the cows, tending to crops, or fixing miscellaneous machinery. Jim moved out to the farm and started farming at the age of 18, and fell in love with the land and being a farmer. He made many friends in the farming community, many whom he considered an extension of his own family. He was extremely loyal to anyone he called a friend. 

Jim was known for his funny but to-the-point personality. Jim was a humble and private man who loved God, his family, and his farm. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

A memorial gathering for Jim will be on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, from 3 to 7:00 p.m. at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. All other services will be private.
