James “Bones” Hansen died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, from cancer at Centegra Hospital, Huntley.
He was an avid Chicago sports fan.
Survivors include a brother, Gary (Ginny) Hansen; a niece, Amy Alessi; and a great-nephew, Aidan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Hansen; and an infant brother, Sonny.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the McCullum Lake Village Hall, 4811 W. Orchard Drive, McCullum Lake. Attendees are encouraged to wear Cubs or Bears colors.
