Irma W. Ackmann, 99, died Saturday, June 2, 2012.
She was born April 3, 1913.
On Nov. 7,1936, she married Harold Ackmann, a Huntley resident.
Since Nov. 15, 1987, she had been a resident of Hearthstone Communities, Woodstock, after moving from Bay Village, Ohio.
Irma was a member of Bethesda-on-the-Bay Lutheran Church, Bay Village.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence (Nina) North Kingstown, R.I.; a sister-in-law, Lucille Wagner, Woodstock; a brother-in-law, Lowell (Dorothy) Ackmann, Barrington; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan. 29, 1985.
At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Burial will be in Hampshire Center Cemetery, Hampshire.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the American Cancer Society.
