Gloria G. Grover

Gloria G. Grover, 76, Woodstock, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock.

She was born July 11, 1935, in Dundee, to John and Louise (Boncosky) Grace.

On May 28, 1955, she married Charles “Bud” Grover in Dundee.

She worked for many years at First National Bank of Woodstock and the law offices of Caldwell-Berner-Caldwell.

She loved sports, especially college basketball, and her favorite team was the Indiana Hoosiers.  She was known as the “Queen of the NCAA Pool” every March. She loved to attend her husband’s, children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

She looked forward to her trips to Las Vegas and occasional outings on the river boats.

Her thoughts were always with her family and friends.

Survivors include three sons, Jeff (Wanda) Grover, Jay (Joann) Grover and Charley Grover; two daughters, Deb Grover and Julie Grover; 10 grandchildren, Brooke (Jake) Green, Courtney Grover, Colin Grover, Kelsey Grover, Shawn Widmayer, Cory Widmayer, Kirsten Widmayer, Trey Grover, Veronica Grover and Joe Grover; two great-grandchildren, Jaycie Grover and Bryce Green; two brothers, Jack (Jan) and Wayne (Pat); two sisters, Audrey and Georgia; and a sister-in-law, Jill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Arnold.

A gathering for friends and family and the memorial service were held May 30 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
