Geraldine “Geri” R. Kyle

Geraldine “Geri” R. Kyle, 86, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., died peacefully, Jan. 25, 2017, at the Cocquina Cottage, South Daytona, Fla., surrounded by her granddaughter, Marcy, and friend Jared, along with her grandson, Joseph, and his wife Christy.

She was born Sept. 30, 1930, to Elsie and Kenneth Krull in Woodstock.

On Jan. 15, 1949, she married James “Hap” R. Kyle.

Survivors include her beloved children, Margie (Larry) Palmer, Steven Kyle, Judy (Patrick) McCarthy and Rhonda (Bob) Nystrom; her grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Palmer, Kyle (Bill) Hobson, Thad (Maggie) Kyle, Dr. Gwenne (Dr. Tim) Norcorss, Tyson McCarthy, Joseph (Christy) McCarthy, Beth (Alek) Stricker and Marcy (Jared) Nystrom; great-grandchildren, Mollie and Owen Hobson, Zachary Kyle, Taylor, Ava and Dylan Norcross and Alex McCarthy; a brother, Vic (Ruby) Krull and their children Tammy (Scott), Jeff and Bradley (Kathy); and many dear friends from New Smyrna Beach and the New Smyrna Beach American Legion.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 11, 2000; her parents; and a baby sister, Lawanna.

Special family viewing was held Jan. 28 at the Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach.
