Gerald Eugene Farver, 88

Gerald Eugene Farver was born Feb. 17, 1930, to Jesse Guy and Addie Viola Farver on the farm in Franklin Grove Illinois.
He passed away Oct. 19, 2018. He graduated from Ashton High School in 1948, and married Evelyn Rieken Feb. 10, 1951.
They had twin boys born March 24, 1952, Kenneth and Keith, and divorced in January 1973.
Gerald worked for Englewood Electric and Dixon Electronics and later owned Meadow Mart Car Wash in Loves Park, Ill., until retiring in 1992.
He married Veva May Carr March 2, 1974, in Rockford, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Veva, in 2010; his son Keith, in 1976; brothers, Audrey Kaleal and Keith Ellsworth; and sisters, Viola Jessie and Aletha Fern. 
He is survived by a son, Kenneth (Julie) Farver; granddaughters, Kristin (Luke) Wetta and Amy (Matt) Kiefer; a great-grandson, Kaleb Wetta; and two great-granddaughters, Julia Melinda Kiefer and Noelle Lucia Kiefer. 
He is also survived by stepchildren, Ron (Karen) Carr, Bob (Jeanie) Carr, and Judy Carr Shelly; eight stepgrandchildren, Shannon, Brent, Whitney, Dana, Jonathon, Bryce, Garrick, and Grant; a stepgreat-grandson, Gavin May; and a stepgreat-granddaughter, Riley Anne May.
