Genevieve Ann Little

Genevieve Ann Little, 79, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Centegra Hospital – Woodstock, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 15, 1933, in McHenry to John and Agnes (Whiting) Grasser. 

On Aug. 18, 1950, she married David William Little in Chicago.

She worked for more than 30 years for Plaspros Inc. 

She enjoyed playing bingo, putting together puzzles and playing pinochle with her siblings. She was the current holder of the traveling trophy.

Survivors include two sons, Jay (Heather), Hartford, Wis., and Paul, Woodstock; five daughters,  Alice (Bill) Ellis, Kewanee, Betty Crossman, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Lucille (Ben) Rock, Harvard, Linda (Jeff) Austin, Harvard, and Sandy, Woodstock; 11 grandchildren, David Little, Jennifer (Adam) Murray, Benjamin (Bobbi) Crossman, Joshua Crossman, Ian Little, Victoria Little, Andrew Little, Brittany Little and Daphne, Catherine and Steven Austin; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Kohn; two stepgrandchildren, Aaron and Johnny; five sisters, Margaret (Bill) Woellert, Williams Bay, Wis., Anna (Roger) Wescott, Logansport, Ind., Barb (Jerry) DeYoung, Sharon, Wis., Judy (Tom) Peterson, Woodstock, and Betty Conley, Huntley;  a brother, Joe (Lois) Grasser, Woodstock; two sisters-in-law, Julie Stoeffler, Cape Coral, Fla.,  and Josie Little, Chicago; a brother-in law Russ (Brenda) Little, Crystal Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Chester; an infant grandson, Andrew Austin; an infant brother, Kenneth;  a brother, Lloyd; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Little. 

The visitation was Aug. 24 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. 

The funeral was Aug. 25 at the funeral home. 

The Rev. Jim Bell officiated.

Interment followed at Pioneer Cemetery, Woodstock.
