Frances L. Behrens

Frances L. Behrens, 90, Hebron, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Harvard Care Center, Harvard.

She was born Sept. 3, 1923, to Elmer and Olive (Fink) Bottlemy Sr. in Alden.

She was a 1941 graduate of Alden High School and salutatorian of her class.

On Feb. 26, 1943, she married Melvin L. Behrens in Hebron.

She was a member of the Merry-Go-Round Card Club and enjoyed the Cubs, Bears and Bulls.  She was a member of Alden United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, James (Marsha) Behrens, Oregon, Ill., Jerry (Muriel) Behrens, Cody, Wyo., and  Dennis (Cheryl Jones) Behrens, Woodstock; six grandchildren, Kathy (Jeff) Strogen, Tige Oleksy, Sarah (Jay) Lemon, Joe Behrens, Carrie (Carl) Gose and Buddy (Amanda) Kile;  two great-grandchildren, Zach and Cadence; two sisters, Lois Norgard, Hebron, and Grace Wissell,  Prescott, Ariz.; and four sisters-in-law, Jane Bottlemy, Betty Bottlemy, Joanne Bottlemy and Evelyn Pratt.

She was preceded by a daughter, Barbara; and three brothers, Harold Bottlemy, Elmer Bottlemy Jr. and Warren Bottlemy.

Visitation was March 28 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Hebron. The funeral was  March 29 at Alden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Davis officiating. Interment was at Alden Cemetery.
