Fernanda C. Gosser, 94, Woodstock, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Woodstock.
She was born April 13, 1920, to Luigi and Emma (Rossi) Settimini in Rome, Italy.
On Oct. 27, 1945, she married Francis A. Gosser in Rome at St. Peter’s Basillica.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Her job as a homemaker was her passion. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a loved member of the Mama Mia Club.
Survivors include a son, Francis (Colleen) Gosser; four daughters, Maria Celeste Welch, Barbara Ann (Charles) Pioli, Mary Catherine Baribeau and Esther Maria (Peter) Voss; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Wesley, Alex, Adam, Cristina, Katherine, Hannah, Aaron, Michelle and Kaitlin; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Maria Cristina Gosser-Henderson; a brother, Valentino Settimini: and a sister, Ester Settimini.
The visitation and funeral were March 28 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock. Burial was at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Woodstock.
