Eleanor Maynard, 92, Woodstock, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012.
She was born May 23, 1920, in Walworth, Wis., to Berger and Ella Anderson.
Since 1955, she lived, worked and raised her family in Woodstock. Her favorite things included gardening, cardinals, Lake Geneva, Elvis Presley, flowers and Cubs — not necessarily in that order. Most of all, she loved her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Shepard, Salem, Ore., Elaine Rounds, Brandon, Man., and Linda Poore, Zionsville, Ind.; two sons, Harry (Nancy) Maynard, Woodstock, and Ken (Joyce) Maynard, Woodstock; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy; and a sister, Bonnie.
Her strength, spirit and love will be missed.
A private family service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Harvard.
Arrangements will be made by Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard.
