Eileen R. Fuchs

Eileen R. Fuchs, 86, Woodstock, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois Inpatient Unit at Centegra Specialty Hospital – Woodstock.

She was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Farmington, Minn., to Ernest and Hattie (Jonas) Demuth, the fifth of 14 children.

On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Robert F. Fuchs in Woodstock.

She loved to cook and was an extraordinary baker. She also enjoyed traveling back to Minnesota to visit with her many siblings.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Shirley (Thomas) Firak and Lynda (Gary) Christopher; a son, Robert J. (Karen) Fuchs; four grandchildren, David Blue, Elise Harland and Jordan and Jace Fuchs; a great-granddaughter, Mia Harland; and many siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
