Edward P. Schroeder

Edward P. Schroeder, 69, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at his home in Crystal Lake.

He was born April 12, 1944, in Chicago to Edward and Dorthea (Brunke) Schroeder. 

On Oct. 9, 1976, he married Patricia Menge.

He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1968 to 1970, stationed in Kansas City, Mo. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially at his cabin in Manitowish Waters, Wis., and spent many wonderful days with his family there. He was loved and will be missed.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ryan (Julie) Schroeder, Jason (Tom) Schroeder, Chris (Cori Molenda) Schroeder; a daughter, Tracy (Sean) Pederson; a brother, Keith (Mary) Schroeder; a sister Susan (Jesse) Thomas; three grandchildren, Landon, Charlie and Holden Pederson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation and funeral were at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home. Burial with military honors was provided by VFW Post 5040  at McHenry County Memorial Park.
