Dorothy (Langan) Sorensen

Dorothy (Langan) Sorensen, 1923-2018, a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church, member of Legion of Mary and resident of Woodstock, Ill., returned to Our Lord Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at A.G. Rhodes of Wesley Woods in Atlanta, Ga. Dorothy, born in Cedar Rapids, Neb., married Victor Sorensen in 1941.

Dorothy was a loving woman who enjoyed cooking, sewing and being with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Karen (Ken), Donna (Robert), and Barbara (William), and son, James, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Carrie; husband, Victor; sisters, Luzetta, Ida, Mary, Mabel and Alice; brothers Elwood, Elmer and William; son, Allen; and grandson, Jacob.

Visitation was on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.
