Dorothy C. Jagodzinski

Dorothy C. Jagodzinski, 96, of Woodstock, formerly of Lemont, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Hearthstone Manor, Woodstock.

She was born April 18, 1921, to Stanley and Rose (Lukaszewski) Nickleski in Lemont. She married Sylvester Jagodzinski May 24, 1941.

She was a faithful member of St. Cyril Methodius Catholic Church in Lemont until 1991, when she moved to Woodstock and became a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock. She worked as a seamstress for a company that repaired military uniforms. She also was a beautician. She enjoyed music and playing organ and piano.

Survivors include: a daughter, Marcia (John) Seiler; a son, Anthony (Laurie) Jacobs; a grandson, Michael A. (Julia) Seiler; and three siblings, Genevieve White, Norbert Nickleski, and Ronald (Patricia) Nickleski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Eugene and Stanley.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass Thursday, Aug. 31, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock.. Interment will be in St. Cyril Methodius Catholic Cemetery, Lemont.

Memorials can be made to the Guardian Angel Fund at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Arrangements were made by Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
