Deanna Lee Steinmetz

Deanna Lee Steinmetz, 71, Westby, Wis., died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis.

She was born Oct. 12, 1942, to Dewey and Patricia Thompson.

On Sept. 19, 1964, she married Merlin Steinmetz in Woodstock.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, singing in the choir, crocheting, making birthday cakes, playing the accordion, making ceramics and gardening.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Donavon (Kristie), Lori (Steven) Hayden and Kenneth (Julia); five grandchildren, Alexander, Ethan, Conrad, Timothy and Samara; a brother, Jack Thompson; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Katherine Hayden.

The visitation and funeral were held March 29 at the LaFarge Free Methodist Church, LaFarge, Wis. 

Arrangements were made by Coulee Region Cremation Group.
