Darlene J. Frederick

Darlene J. Frederick, 92, died peacefully Thursday, May 31, 2018.

She was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Woodstock, where she lived most of her life.

She worked at Woodstock Die Casting for 32 years. She enjoyed raising her girls, gardening, vacationing in Florida, and knitting, and was an avid Cubs fan. She also loved to read and enjoyed four to five novels a week.

Survivors include six daughters, Sharon Kramer, Barb (Dave) Gates, Janet Jackson, Becky (Dan) Corcoran, Patty (Scott) Summers, and Peggy (Kevin) Schmidt; a stepdaughter, Judy (Bill) Vincent; a niece, Carol (John) Perschke; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olan and Martha Kuntz; a brother, Dale Kuntz; her husband, Robert J. Frederick; and an infant daughter, Bonnie Jo Pierce.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.  Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.
